Intakes & Academic Calendar
German universities have two primary intakes: winter (October–February) and summer (April–July). The academic year consists of two semesters, with exams held in February and July. For optimal chances of admission to top public universities, begin your application process as early as November or December of the previous year, as seats are limited.
