Study in Belgium

Belgium, a vibrant country in Northwestern Europe with Brussels as its capital, is bordered by France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Germany. Dutch, French, and German are the official languages, making Belgium an international hub for students.

Belgium is increasingly chosen by Indian students thanks to its world-class education offered at affordable tuition rates. Many Belgian universities provide one-year master’s degrees, helping students enter the workforce earlier.

Intakes & Academic Calendar

Most universities in Belgium offer winter intake, starting in October and ending in February. Some also have summer intakes from April to July. The academic year consists of two semesters with exams in February and July. To maximize the chances of securing a seat in top public universities, it’s best to start your application as early as November or December of the prior year. Please note, the Belgian visa process may take 2-3 months.

Affordable Education

Several Belgian universities charge minimal or no tuition fees, making it an excellent study destination for budget-conscious students.

Process

  • Minimum 60% in Bachelor's degree
  • IELTS above 6 or TOEFL: 90-100 required for most public universities.
  • 15 years of education in English for applying for Master's degree is required
